| Exit I-80/35 at NE 14th Street. Proceed north on NE 14th street/highway 69 into Ankeny. The high school is located approximately 1/4 mile north of 1st Street. Off I-35, take Ankeny Exit 91 (location of the Econo-Lodge and Best Western Motels). You will be exiting the interstate on to what is called 1st Street. Proceed west on 1st Street, to the third set of stoplights (intersection of 1st Street and Hwy 69). Turn north (right) and proceed approximately 1/4 mile. OR: Go south of Ames on Hwy 69 approximately 20 miles. The high school is on west side of highway. All athletic facilities except golf are located at or near the high school. Golf is usually played at Otter Creek Golf & Recreational Area, approximately two miles north of the school on Highway 69, then a mile east. Parkview Middle School (junior varsity basketball) is located 3 blocks west of the 1st St. and Hwy 69 intersection south of the high school. Northview Middle School (9th Football, Track) is located at 1010 Prairie Ridge, coming in on I-35, take exit 91 on to 1st St. of Ankeny. Proceed west on 1st St. to the 4th set of stoplights (junction of Hwy 69). Continue through this intersection (west) to the next set of stoplights (intersection with NW Ash St/look for Ankeny water tower landmark). Turn right (north) onto NW Ash St. and proceed to the intersection with NW 9th (Prairie Ridge). Proceed north through this intersection and turn into the school driveway entrance (2nd left). For Football/Track events park bus in the parking lot adjacent to the track. For indoor events; turn left at the 2nd opportunity, let students off at the SE Bldg. entrance and then park in the adjacent lot. |

Take Interstate 235 to the 42nd St. exit and proceed north to Center St. or Chamberlain St. Turn left and follow to the high school.
Baseball, Softball, Basketball, Volleyball and Track are located at the high school.
Varsity football games are scheduled at Drake Stadium. Drake Stadium is located on Forest Avenue between 27th and 28th Street. From Interstate 235 take the 31st Street exit North to Forest Ave. Turn right.
Golf(Waveland Golf Course): Take the 42nd St. exit off of I-235 and proceed north to University Ave. Turn left to 49th St.
Soccer(Cownie Soccer Park): Take 14/15th street exit off I-235. Turn South on 14th Street. Continue on 14th Street to Hartford and turn left. Follow road to soccer park. Coming from south of Des Moines, take the bypass to 65/59 and exit to Des Moines. The high way will become SE 14th Street. Follow to Hartford, Turn right and follow road to Soccer Park.
Tennis(Waveland Courts): Take the 42nd St. exit north off of I-235. Proceed north to Center St. and turn left. Continue past the high school to Polk Blvd. and turn right. Go north for about two blocks.
Merrill Middle School: Exit I-235 at 42nd Street. Go south on 42nd Street to Grand Avenue. Proceed west on Grand Avenue to Merrill Middle School. |

9&JV Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, are played at Indianola High School. HWY's 92 and 65/69 disect Indianola. The High School is located on the east end of Indianola on HWY 92.
Tennis, the courts are located at the Indianola Middle School, directly south of the High School on HWY 92.
Cross Country meets are held at Pickard Park, approx 1/2 mile east of the High School on HWY 92.
10/Var Football, Swim, Soccer, and Track are played at Simpson College. Turn west on Iowa Street off Hwy 65/69, (Hy-Vee intersection) proceed west to "D" Street, turn left, go south 4 blocks.
Golf meets are held at the Indianola Country Club. HWY 65/69 to the Balloon Museum (north end of town), head west on Orchard Ave. Go to 3rd stop sign...Country Club Road, turn right and the entrance drive is 1/2 block on the right.

Coming from the East on I-80. Turn south on Merle Hay Road. Turn right on Aurora.
High school sits on north side of street (Aurora Ave). Contests at UHS are: wrestling, basketball, volleyball, football, track and soccer. Swimming: 72nd and Aurora; pool is between the Senior Citizens Center and High School (west side of complex).
Baseball: South on Merle Hay Rd. to Meredith Drive, turn right to 70th St. Turn left to Twana Drive, turn right and go to 72nd Street. Turn left and go south.,
Softball: Across the street from high school.
Golf, tennis, and some soccer events are scheduled at various sites in the area. |
